hi i’m from california and i dot really understant your alphabet why do you have two c, g, o, s and u ? i would really like to know how to write it or read it but i still cant get this thanks fdor all the help ..

the reason we have different letters than you have is this is not english. We have the vowels that represents letters. We could sound ş like sh or ç as ch. But this is not a simplistic approach. To represent a sound as a letter is much simpler than writing it as a 2 letter.

You will get use to the letters soon. Don’t worry about it.

I am trying to learn enough Turkish in time for February when i go and visit my boyfriend in Konya…even though he knows English i want to surprise him with my new vocabulary. I have been learning phrases and basic vocab but can’t wait to learn more.
